EISCO Specific Gravity and Essential Components Kit

This specific gravity kit includes the instrumental tools needed to measure the specific gravity of three specific metals. To fully equip your basic science education specific gravity lab, it is recommended to also purchase a ring stand (such as Eisco MTST1) and a digital balance separately. Specific gravity is the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a standard, usually water for a liquid and air for a gas.

The kit includes a Newton/Gram scale dynamometer, an Aluminum Displacement Vessel, an Aluminum Catch Bucket with a handle, as well as 0.75-inch iron, copper, and aluminum cubes with hooks. However, it does not include instructions or metalware stands. For building a specific gravity or buoyancy experiment, it is recommended to use the Eisco Labs MTST1 set.

The dynamometer has a maximum of 1N/100g and a graduation of .02N/2g. The Aluminum Displacement Vessel measures 130mm in height, 110mm in diameter, and has a spout length of 30mm. The catch bucket is 4 inches in diameter, 3.15 inches in height, and includes a handle.
